RACIAL HARMONY THROUGH NEIGHBOURLINESS

On behalf of the Organising Committee Lead by Mr Victor Lye, we would like to thank you for participating in our competition/s revolving around the theme of "Racial Harmony Through Neighbourliness".

We would like to invite all winners to our event on 26 July 2009 held at Hougang Central Hub, near to Hougang MRT Station) where you will receive a prize from one of the Adviser of Aljunied GRC and Hougang SMC.

This event will start from 11am and will be graced by, Mr George Yeo, Minister For Foreign Affairs and Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC, as the Guest of Honour.

Registration will start from 4.00pm and ends at 4.30pm on site. Please bring a long your NRIC or any forms of photo identity for verifications.

The prize presentation on stage will take place at approximately 5.30pm and you are advised to come appropriately dressed (smart causal but no slippers / School uniform).

Hi everyone, welcome to Aljunied GRC and Hougang SMC Racial Harmony Through Neighbourliness Blog.

Singapore is such a fantastic place to be, with our unique blend of race, language and religion.

Over these few months, we are having several Competitions that will showcase your talents! Come and take part and have lots of fun!

We have a Writing Competition, A Photography Competition, A Short Clips Competition and A Posters Design Competition.

Latest News:

The competition is open to all who are residing in a residential area, studying in a school, worshipping at a religious institution, or taking a class at a RC or CC in the Aljunied GRC or Hougang SMC. We want your submissions!

For Short Clips Competition, For group submissions, as long as one of the team members is from Aljunied GRC or Hougang SMC, submissions are accepted.

To see if you are living in the Aljunied GRC or Hougang SMC area, please go to http://www.pa.gov.sg/. At the bottom of the page, there is a box where you can input in your six digit postal code to check.

For Posters Compeition

Download the registration form and submit posters to any CCs in Aljunied GRC or Hougang SMC

For Writing Compeition

Download the registration form.

After completion of the registration form, participants are required to email their essay submission together with the registration form to rh.09.writing@gmail.com

For Photography Compeition

Download the registration form.

After completion of the registration form, participants must submit

1)a CD Rom with all the above documents that includes Application form, a Hardcopy photograph and Description ( Windows Word Format)

Send to any CCs in Aljunied GRC or Hougang SMC

For Short Clips Competition

1)Download the registration form and submit to rh.09.video@gmail.com

2) Upload the clip onto Youtube. ( Follow the instructions in the Rules and Regulations)
